King The Cure 

 

      King is A first generation West African-American from Liberia, born and raised in Washington DC. His mother, born in Monrovia, Liberia and father was born in Washington D.C. That makes King The Cure the Epitome of an African-American. A true blend of tribal sounds, go-go music and that great blast of 808s that everybody loves. Kings inspiration comes from the environment and surroundings which varies from rappers to producers to singers like Wale, J. Cole, and Big Sean to Timberland, Kanye, Just Blaze etc. Groups like New Edition, NIB (New Impressions Band), Mambo Sauce, Lincoln Park, CCB (Critical Condition Band), and singers like Marvin Gaye, Michael Jackson,Barbra Morrison, James Brown etc. Those are just the names that you most likely know. Kings mother loves country rock and old school gospel, while his father loves soulful old school jams and that traditional D.C go-go sound. Growing up with these different genres makes King The Cures sound unique from other MCs in the Industry King The Cures imperfections, insecurities, trails and tribulations have all played part in hid rise in music. King The Cures purpose and goal is to inspire people to do exactly what they dream of by inspiring them to “BGreat, BTrue, To BSolid and most importantly to be authentically themselves when the world shames them for it.
